“Home Office Desk”. Writing desk with tubular steel frame. Table top and “floating” cabinet of walnut. Part of top and sliding doors covered with brown leather. Left side of top with hidden storage underneath, right side mounted with file cabinet of pierced metal. Model 4658. Designed 1952. This example manufactured approx. 1950s by Herman Miller.

Fine example of the classic experiment in efficient desk design. The hinged writing surface opens up to reveal several shelves and a drawer. “Floating” cabinet reveals storage, shelves and a drawer.

Good original condition with light patina due to age and use, including some surface scratches and marks, minor small dent on side of top. File cabinet with minor unevenness. One "shoe" missing, one loose but included.
